OUR APPROACH
Start with the learner. Build from there.
Individualized instruction means more than changing a worksheet. It means making intentional decisions about what to teach, how to teach it, how much support to provide, and how to know whether the learner is making progress.

1. Listen and understand
We begin by hearing the family’s concerns and learning about the learner’s strengths, interests, experiences, and goals
2. Identify the starting point
We review available information and, when appropriate, use educational assessment to understand current skills and identify priority areas.
3. Set meaningful goals
We select goals that are specific, useful, and appropriate to the learner’s current level.
4. Teach intentionally
We choose methods, materials, practice activities, and pacing to match the skill being taught and the learner’s needs.
5. Monitor and adapt
We observe performance, review progress, and adjust instruction when the learner needs a different explanation, more practice, or a new level of challenge.
6. Build independence
We aim to help learners use skills with increasing confidence and less support over time.
Our guiding principle
Individualized instruction is not a fixed package. It is a thoughtful process of understanding, teaching, observing, and adapting.
